Calling all Sal Mineo fans! What does Sal mean to you? Dead in Hollywood will be accepting submissions for the upcoming zine "Sal Mineo: The First Gay Teenager." The issue will focus on Sal's performance as one of the first gay teenagers in a major motion picture (Rebel Without a Cause) as well as Sal's groundbreaking 1972 interview where he comes out as bisexual. Tab Hunter (July 11, 1931 – July 8, 2018)
Rest in power Tab Hunter. 🌈 By chance, I posted a variation of this edit on Saturday. Hunter passed away yesterday, June 8, at the age of 86. His partner calls the death “unexpected and sudden.” This photo is of Hunter sharing a laugh with Sal Mineo and Natalie Wood at the Academy Awards.
