Go behind the sign to Halloween Eve 1982 when scary monsters and super creeps roam the streets of West Hollywood, stalking their unsuspecting prey. 22-year-old "Poltergeist" actress, Dominique Dunne, is going over lines with her co-star, actor David Packer, at her home on Rangely Ave. On this particular Halloween Eve, a monster was making his way towards Dominique's home. The home she once shared with the monster. Like so many women, Dominique knew her monster.

DEAD IN HOLLYWOOD: THE MURDER/SUICIDE OF PHIL & BRYNN HARTMAN (EPISODE 9) OUT NOW!!!

Go behind the sign to the early hours of May 28, 1998 when comedian Phil Hartman was shot to death in his sleep by his wife, Brynn, who then, hours later, turned the gun on herself. To his fans, Hartman seemed happy, leading the lucky life in the San Fernando Valley suburb of Encino, CA. Adored by millions and shot down in his prime, Hartman's life has been overshadowed by the events of that May morning.

DEATHIVERSARY: DOROTHY STRATTEN (August 14, 1980)

On August 14, 1980, Playboy Playmate Dorothy Stratten was murdered at the age of 20 by her estranged husband, manager, and all-around sleaze bag Paul Snider, who committed suicide beside Stratten in the West Los Angeles house they once had shared. Dead in Hollywood: Dorothy Stratten was only my second fanzine issue, and one of my main inspirations for Dead in Hollywood (along with Sal Mineo). Her death has always stayed with me and the fact that the house still looks exactly the same to this day.

BOTD: Natalie Wood would be 83 today, July 20. Tomorrow morning I leave for Catalina Island to retrace Natalie Wood's last steps and Marilyn Monroe's first. I hope to get a lot of really great footage for my next video "The Drowning of Natalie Wood" (Episode 8). Be sure to catch on the 1-7.

My obsession with the dark side of Hollywood began on the grassy knoll in the shadow of the Texas School Book Depository. When I was 15, my grandma would drop me off at Dealey Plaza on our way to my mom's chemotherapy appointments at Baylor University Medical Center. That summer, I read Helter Skelter for the first time on the Grassy Knoll. Sharon Tate was also from Dallas. Twenty years later, I found myself in the backyard of Lee Harvey Oswald's former home, a two-story Craftsman duplex in the heart of the Oak Cliff district of Dallas, questioning everything I thought I knew about Oswald.
